Jefferson Lumber & Millwork Corp. has been a trusted and reputable name in the lumber and building industry for over 75 years. Located in Lake Hopatcong, NJ, we service homeowners and contractors throughout Northern NJ. We specialize in stair manufacturing and railing installation. We also are authorized dealers for PVC or composite decking from Wolf, TimberTech/Azek, Fiberon, Duralife, Aeratis, and Moisture Shield.We are family-owned business that takes pride in the continuing tradition of quality products and services available to our valued customers.
Our History
Founded in 1947, Jefferson Lumber & Millwork was started by brothers Albert and Ralph Quaranta, with help from their father Vincenzo. Later, they were joined by Mary, Ralph and Albert’s sister, and Marie, Ralph’s wife. Jefferson Lumber has built its reputation on providing quality products and craftsmanship to anyone who comes through our gates. As a family owned and operated business, we are able to develop a close rapport with our customers and form many lasting friendships
Our Lumberyard
In our 20 acre yard, we stock Douglas Fir framing lumber and pressure treated Southern Yellow Pine in sizes from 2x4 to 2x12 and in 8’ to 20’ lengths. Our Doug Fir selections are graded #2 and better while our pressure treated is all #1 except for our 5/4”x6” decking which is even better - a premium grade. All our treated lumber is treated to .15mca ground contact. We also stock 1 3/4” x 10” and 1 3/4” x 12” micro-lam beams up to 24' in length but can order thicker, longer and wider if needed!
We also carry an extensive variety of hardwoods, such as Red and White Oak, Philippine and Genuine Mahogany, Cherry, Maple, Birch, Poplar, Ash, Walnut, Hickory, Cypress, Spanish Cedar, Western Red Cedar, Ipe, traditional Pine in clear and common grades, and many others. For exterior use, we carry a full line of PVC boards and trim in addition to the treated lumber selection.

Well stocked for the contractor or home owner and their wood shop is capable of creating anything you need. They have fabricated dozens of stairs for us and friends over the years which stand the test of time. Their quality is amazing.
